J.V. Foerster is a three-time Pushcart nominated poet. She is published the U.S and internationally appearing in many literary magazines including Cirque, Burningword Literary Journal, Amethyst Review, Quartet, The Field Guide Magazine, The Bluebird Word, The Fiery Scribe, Eclectica, Furrow edition from Green Ink Press, Loch Raven Review, Agnieszka’s Dowry, Midnight Mind, Horsethiefs Journal, Fickle Muse, Oak Bend Review, and Fox Chase Review. She has work in multiple anthologies and was a finalist in Oprelle Poetry contest.  She has also won three honorable mentions from the Oregon State Poetry Association.  She was a cocreator of the play “Between Night Dreams and My Life” as well as a singer songwriter.

J.V. is also a published painter and photographer. In the past she worked in poetry therapy and art therapy within a healthcare setting. She also has worked with abused children and their parents in a Childrens Advocacy Center in Alaska.

She lives in Ashland, Oregon.
